Mr Simeon Ward, CSC

Chief Program Officer - Capability Delivery

Mr Simeon Ward is currently the Chief Program Officer – Capability Development within the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator. Prior to this, Mr Ward served in the Australian Army concluding his full-time service as the Director General Integrated Soldier System Branch within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. In this role, Mr Ward was responsible for the acquisition, delivery and sustainment of personal combat and non-combat equipment and supplies as an integrated capability system. Mr Ward’s prior experience has included leadership roles in capability development and force design roles in the Defence Materiel Organisation, Strategic Policy Division, the Capability Development Group, Force Design Division, and Army Headquarters. Mr Ward has also served on multiple operational deployments and in representational roles in the United States with both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. Mr Ward holds Masters level degrees from the University of New South Wales, the Marine Corps University and Deakin University. Mr Ward is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the National Security College’s Executive Development Program, the Australian Defence College’s Defence and Strategic Studies Course.
