| Dr Jens Goennemann Managing Director and co-owner Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre Ltd (AMGC) Dr Jens Goennemann is Managing Director and co-owner of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre Ltd (AMGC). Jens joined AMGC as the inaugural Managing Director in 2016 where he brings extensive experience from overseeing large manufacturing operations in Australia and Europe. Jens served as Managing Director of Airbus Group Australia Pacific. Before his eight-year appointment to Australia, Jens spent six years in Germany with the former European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), today known as Airbus Group. He was Head of the CEO’s office in Ottobrunn, and before that in charge of Soldier and Parafoil Systems within the Defence Division. Previously, Jens spent two years in Athens where he established and managed the Eurofighter Office of DaimlerChrysler Aerospace, one of the three founding partner companies of EADS. He began his career with Daimler-Benz AG in January 1996. As Managing Director of AMGC, Jens works alongside his team and broad industry stakeholders to help transform Australia’s manufacturing industry to be globally competitive and increase the demand for resilient jobs. Under Jens’s leadership, AMGC has grown its membership base to over 4,000 industry companies and research institutions and launched over 180 technical projects. Jens has a Master and PhD in Economics from the University of Hamburg and a Bachelor of Business from Hamburg School of Business Administration. He is the Chairman of the German Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the AW Bell Advisory Board, Board Member of Grabba Technologies, a former Board Member of the Innovative Manufacturing CRC, and played key roles in the Prime Minister’s National COVID-19 Coordination Commission Manufacturing Taskforce as well as in the Prime Minister’s Industry 4.0 Taskforce. Jens is the executive Chairman (nominated) for the AAM CRC Round 27 bid. |
