| Gavin Henry Maritime Autonomy Campaign LeadThales Australia Gavin Henry has over 25 years of experience in undersea warfare, serving in the Royal Navy (RN), Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN). His military career included diverse operational deployments such as Sierra Leone and the Northern Arabian Gulf as well as leadership roles within Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving. Since joining Thales Underwater Systems early 2018, Gavin has applied his operational background to the defence industry, focusing on business growth within undersea warfare, both domestic and export. His primary area of interest is the advancement and employment of maritime autonomy, supporting innovation in autonomous systems for maritime operations. Drawing on significant hands-on experience, Gavin now helps shape Thales’ strategy in this evolving domain, contributing to enhanced maritime security and operational effectiveness. |
