Mark Roberts

Mark graduated with a Masters in Oceanography from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 2004. He started his career in the marine survey industry with Fugro in the United Kingdom in 2005, before emigrating to Australia in 2012 to take a Project Management role with Fugro in Perth.

During his time at Fugro, Mark was responsible for managing marine geophysical and hydrographic contracts for the major oil and gas operators and local port authorities, in addition to project managing the search for missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 between 2014 and 2017.

In 2018, Mark joined Guardian Geomatics (now Reach Subsea), where he managed marine survey contracts within the renewables and oil and gas sector, in addition to supporting a major contract with Ocean Infinity, operating the largest global fleet of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV).

In April 2021, Mark joined Kongsberg Maritime in Perth, to manage the delivery of maritime equipment to the Royal Australian Navy Hunter Frigate program, and subsequently transitioned into his current role with Kongsberg Discovery in June 2022. Mark is currently responsible for sales of Uncrewed Platforms (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and Uncrewed Surface Vessels) to commercial and defence customers in the Asia Pacific Region.
