Speaker Biography | Chris Pearson Technical Training OfficerDepartment of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water Christopher Pearson is an experienced aviation and technical training professional with a diverse background spanning hands-on mechanical work, crewed flight instruction, and uncrewed systems standards & leadership. Growing up in Malaysia, Christopher developed a strong work ethic early on, that has carried through his professional career to date. Starting out as a fixed-wing pilot, Christopher quickly qualified as a flight instructor in 2019. He spent several years training the next generation of pilots before transitioning into the uncrewed sector, with Aviation Australia as the RPAS Head of Standards, where he led regulatory compliance and instructional development for remotely piloted aircraft systems. In 2024, he took on a new challenge with the Office of the Chief Remote Pilot (Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water) as a Technical Training Officer. In this role, Christopher supports a Maritime Domain Awareness project in Southeast Asia, contributing technical expertise and regional insight to strengthen environmental and security outcomes across the region. |
