David Rylance

A/Station Officer, RPAS Chief Remote Pilot

Fire Rescue Victoria

David has over 16 years of firefighting experience with Fire Rescue Victoria and Metropolitan Fire Brigade Melbourne.

David is currently the Chief Remote Pilot for Fire Rescue Victoria and is a member of the AFAC RPAS Working group and the Airservices Australia Uncrewed Services Advisory Network.

David holds a number of firefighting qualifications including HazMat Technician, B.A. Service Operator, Control Unit Operator.

David is also a volunteer lifesaver with Elwood Life Saving Club and has held a number of volunteer roles at a Club, State and National level. Currently David patrols Elwood Beach, where he is the President of the Elwood LSC and is one of a few volunteer State Duty Officers for Life Saving Victoria and is a Senior Remote Pilot for Life Saving Victorias RPAS Program.
