SkyTech 2025 Speaker Bio | Yun Yuan Tay Head of Asia Pacific and Global Operations Skyports Yun Yuan Tay is the Head of Asia Pacific and Global Head of Operations for global Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure developer and drone services operator, Skyports. Overseeing Skyports’ business in the region since 2020, Yun was appointed to set up the company’s APAC headquarters and has since grown the team to over 20 employees. Yun is responsible for leading Skyports’ businesses in vertiport infrastructure in the region, including business development, project management and technology deployment. He is also responsible for the global operations for Skyports infrastructure, including standing up an operations team for the company as we move towards entry into service of AAM services globally. He has over a decade of experience in aerospace and aviation engineering and management consulting. Prior to joining Skyports, Yun was a core leader of McKinsey & Company's Travel, Logistics and Infrastructure practice, and also held previous roles at ICF Aviation and United Airlines. He has experience leading corporate strategy, operations improvement and transactional projects for airlines, airports, aerospace OEMs, MROs, aviation regulators and investors in the aviation sector. Yun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering with summa cum laude from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School. He is also a certified FAA private pilot (aircraft single engine land with instrument rating) with over 200 hours of flight time. |
