The primary role of the AAUS Maritime Advisory Group will be to provide industry with a voice to address relevant issues associated with the manufacture and operation of autonomous maritime systems.
Terms of Reference
- Engagement with AAUS membership and greater industry to provide a unified voice on matters relating to the autonomous operations in the maritime domain in Australia.
- Develop key interactions between Government, AMSA and Industry to inform AAUS members on requirements for the development and safe operation of autonomous maritime systems.
- Identify industry issues and challenges with respect to the manufacture and operation of autonomous maritime systems.
- Advocate on behalf of industry to AMSA in relation to policy and regulations.
- As part of a broader industry group, support TAS DCRC efforts to develop a code of practice for design and operation of maritime autonomous systems.
- Organise and collaborate with other parties to run events that will benefit industry.
